Your privacy choices

Access, export, correct, or delete your data, or exercise any other privacy right. Most of it you can do yourself in the app, instantly; the rest is one email away.

Do it yourself, in the app

  • See and correct everything you've put into Margin by editing it directly; your tasks, notes, and settings are all visible in the app.
  • Export your data from the app, which gives you a machine-readable copy (data portability).
  • Delete your account from Settings. This permanently removes your account, all of your content, and stored attachments. It is not a soft delete.
  • Cookies on this site: change or withdraw your consent anytime via the Cookie settings link in the footer, or read the Cookie Policy.

Or email a request

For anything you can't do in the app, or if you no longer have access to your account, email support@moremargin.app with the subject Privacy request and tell us what you'd like: a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, an objection to processing, or a question about this policy. Where possible, write from the email address on your Margin account; that is how we verify the request is really yours without collecting anything extra. We aim to respond within 30 days, and requests are free.

If you're in the EU, UK, or EEA

The GDPR and UK GDPR give you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection, plus the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. All of them can be exercised through the routes above. If you believe we haven't handled your data properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the EU, see the EDPB's member list; in the UK, the ICO). We'd appreciate the chance to fix it first, but that choice is yours.

If you're in California

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising; there are no advertising trackers on this site or in the app, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. Because of that, browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control are honored by default: there is nothing they need to switch off. You have the rights to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them; use the app or the email route above. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if they can show they are entitled to act for you.

Everywhere else

Many other places have similar laws (Canada's PIPEDA, Brazil's LGPD, Australia's Privacy Act, and various US state laws among them). Whatever applies to you, the same routes work: the app for self-serve, or support@moremargin.app for everything else. The full details of what we collect and why are in the Privacy Policy.
