Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Margin application and website (the “Service”), operated by Emagine Reality (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

2. Your content

You own the tasks, ideas, notes, and other content you create in Margin. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, and display that content back to you in order to operate the Service. We claim no other rights to it.

3. Plans, billing & cancellation

• The free plan is free forever, with the limits described on our pricing page.
• Paid subscriptions bill in advance on a recurring basis and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time from within the app; your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account moves to the free plan.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, though we are humans — if something went wrong, contact us.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our permission.
• Use automated means to access the Service other than published integrations and APIs.

5. Integrations

The Service may connect to third-party services (calendars, AI assistants, and similar) at your direction. Those services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. You can disconnect an integration at any time.

6. Availability & changes to the Service

We work hard to keep the Service available, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Margin helps you plan your day; decisions you make based on it are yours.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emagine Reality will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $50 if you paid nothing).

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
